It's a tradition of sorts, along the waterfront in Morehead City at the North Carolina Seafood Festival, a tradition of flinging fish.
It's the Flounder Fling, and celebrities, kids, and festival goers could all take their chance to fling a fish. The object, get the fish inside the frying pan, and even Miss North Carolina, Brooke McLaurin got in on the flinging. She had good aim, too. She made two of her three fish throw attempts. All in good fun, something Brooke is finding lots of, here at the festival.
Now it's also a tradition of the flounder fling, before you throw, you have to kiss. And Miss North Carolina braved that tradition as well, planting a friendly lip lock on one very lucky flounder.
