Fog Moving Out, Record Highs Within Reach

After a foggy start to the weekend, most locations are beginning to clear and warm this afternoon. Temperatures have been as warm as 75° through Craven county and as cool as 65° through Pitt county. Additionally, very low visibility still exists along the Outer Banks where temperatures have only warmed to the mid 50s. It is very possible the record highs will be broken in New Bern. Charlie Ironmonger will have the official high for the day tonight at 6pm on WITN.

A return to foggy conditions will be possible through the overnight as temperatures only fall into the mid 50s with calm winds. Highs on Sunday could reach into the mid 70s, but like today, the longer the fog lingers, the cooler the day.
