Woman Finds Gator In Her Kitchen

Authorities say 69-year-old central Florida woman found an 8-foot long alligator prowling in her kitchen late Monday night.

When Sandra Frosti went to check out an odd noise she heard in her kitchen Monday night, what she found on the floor was worse than cockroaches. She says the gator must have pushed through the back porch screen door and then went inside through an open sliding glass door at her home in Oldsmar, just north of Tampa. It then apparently strolled through the living room, down a hall and into the kitchen.

A trapper with Animal Capture of Florida removed the alligator, which was cut by a plate that was knocked to the ground during the chaos. But no one inside the house was injured.

J, It doesn't state the alligator opened the door on it's own. It state's that the sliding glass door had been left open. For real.....

To Mike, I haven't heard that story but that is wild! How are they going to do that to someone. If a gator is in my house you best believe I'm going to protect myself and my family. That is unreal to me. You have a choice.....house demolished and my body ripped apart or shoot it....I choose SHOOT!

This reminds of another case in fla. involving an alligator and a dog.The alligator came in the house through the doggie door chasing an older womans pet poodell. As the alligator came in the house the woman shot and killed the gator and was then fined and put on probation. This was in the news when i was living daytona beach in 2004.Agin i ask, what is this country becoming.
