Greenville's Fire and Rescue department held a chili cook off Wednesday to benefit the United Way. Whether your favorite is spicy, sweet, mild or medium chili, you could find it all at the chili cook-off held at the fire and rescue building in Greenville. Captain Wayne Harris, one of the event's organizers, says the goal is to raise a $1000 on the way to the city's overall goal of $60,000 as a pacesetter for the United Way. The first and second place winner of this year's cook off were the same as last year. The city of Greenville is one of nine pace setters in Pitt County.
