Folks in Onslow County are flying high and setting records at the local airport. The return of jet service by U.S. Airways at Albert J. Ellis airport is the main reason for a record month for passenger service in July, the airport's best numbers in eleven years. Ellis airport was the first in the East to see jet service return last year. Jets are also flying out of the Kinston airport.
