Keeping Athletes Safe on the Field

In the light of recent deaths on and off the football field, both in North Carolina and on the professional gridiron, one local coach believes it can happen to anyone playing any sport. That's why Rose High School's head football coach, Greg Thomas, says hydration and knowing your players medical conditions are so important. Also coach Thomas says he pays attention to whether his players are sweating, a sign the body is cooling itself off and that his players are properly hydrated. Just one of many reasons coach Thomas says summer strength and conditioning sessions are so important.
