Pitt County Memorial Hospital can now perform brain surgery without cutting into a patient's head. Hospital officials and guests cut the ribbon Thursday to officially open the Gamma Knife Center at the Leo Jenkins Cancer Center. The Gamma Knife is used to diagnose and treat benign and malignant brain tumors or lesions.
