Arlington Boulevard in Greenville is about to be extended for the first time in many years. Work crews have already started cutting down trees that once stood along Highway 43. This will allow for the creation of the four lane Arlington Boulevard extension. The new section will stretch from Beasley Drive to Highway 43. Officials say the $1,400,000 project will take most of the current traffic off Macgregor Downs Road and make driving around the hospital a bit easier. The extension is expected to be completed in the fall of 2006.
