An 85-foot-trawler that went up in flames Thursday while welders were working on it is likely a total loss. But thanks to the hard work of eleven different fire departments, they helped save the environment from the 4, 000 gallons of diesel fuel that leaked from the "Bridget Denise." The fire happened at the Jarrett Bay Marine Industrial Park, west of Beaufort, while repairs were being made. The fuel spill is still being cleaned up.
