A Hollywood movie has some biologists worried about how it will affect people's view on the creature. "Grizzly Man" is the story of a man who was living with bears in the Alaskan Wilderness. He and his girlfriend, who happened to be living with him in the wilderness at the time, were killed in a bear attack. Officials are now trying to get the truth out about bears here in our state, black bears. They're trying to convince people these bears are much shyer than their cousins in the Western portion of the U.S. But they are also giving advice about what to do if you do run across a bear in Eastern Carolina. Experts say stand your ground; don't run, and don't turn your back. Typically the human upright posture is enough to make a bear back away. Playing dead is not a good idea.
