Long says seniors need to be careful of insurance companies aggressively marketing "Medicare Advantage Plans" in addition to their current Medicare plan. Lenoir Memorial Hospital's Connie Schlenz says buying the extra plan could cost seniors even more money. This warning comes after seniors and their families from all across the state started complaining about insurance agents advising them on making a financial decision.
