It's a special day here at WITN-7. Wednesday marked our 50th Anniversary! Station management and engineers had to battle three hurricanes at the time to get the station on the air. But on September 28, 1955, the station signed on. The first program broadcast was the World Series, and it was the first television show in color in Eastern Carolina.
