There's another new road to travel as part of Jacksonville's on-going Highway 17 and 24 bypass project. And some drivers and business owners along this stretch of Lejeune Boulevard say its about time! The old westbound lanes of 24 were switched on to new pavement last weekend. Now, the old highway will become a two-way service road, and some businesses can't wait for customers to try out their new access. The Department of Transportation will be opening more new lanes, including the long-awaited new bridge over New River, as that project continues through the fall, and into 2006.
