This weekend is a time to use "music to make miracles!" DJ's at 107.9 plan to that just that with their annual radiothon. Listeners can make a difference in a child's life by giving to the Children's Miracle Network this weekend.
Since the radio station first began supporting CMN ten years ago, they have raised more than two million dollars.
Volunteers who came out to answer phones have close connections with the Children's Hospital at Pitt Memorial.
"I see everyday needs when I walk through NICU. Joan Wilson
Volunteer & Neonatal Nurse says, "What these children need and what it takes for the operation of NICU. The equipment and it does get expensive and it's thinks that are needed on a daily basis."
Maryann Cooper is also a volunteer and says, "I have a son that has been in the hospital several times and they were so great. The treatment he received and the care there. They're just wonderful."
The radiothon which has raised about 90 thousand dollars... continues until Sunday with all proceeds benefiting the Children Hospital in Eastern North Carolina.
WITN will also air our Chidren's Miracle Network Telethon the weekend of May 31st.
