Becky Taylor remembers that day three decades ago, in August of 1974, like it was yesterday. The sheriff told her to leave East Carolina University and go home and take Sunday clothes with her. She did what the sheriff said and the scene Taylor saw when she arrived home in Jacksonville still haunts her. At first, she thought her mother had died. But then she saw her mom come out of the house. Taylor found out her little sister, Cindy Howard, had been murdered. Cindy was just 15. Her accused killer is 64-year-old Marcus Shrader. Shrader is accused of killing Cindy and three others in 1974. He eventually stood trial and was convicted in the murder of Cheryl Potter Boyd and sentenced to death.
