It's a sweet deal that could bring new jobs to Eastern Carolina, perhaps as many as 500. The "Cheesecake Factory," a California based company announced plans to buy a site and develop a second bakery in the Whitaker Business and Industry Center near Gold Rock off Interstate 95 in Rocky Mount. The company said it plans to create 70 jobs and invest about $12 million in the project by January 2006 and could lead to as many as 500 jobs in the next few years.
