Rising From the Rubble

Video will be available shortly.

An explosion at the Bunyan Ruritan Center in Beaufort County leaves members of that service organization picking up the pieces. Tuesday afternoon, an explosion leveled the Bunyan Ruritan Center off River Road in Beaufort County. Investigators believe an accumulation of gas inside the building caused the blast. Captain Kenneth Watson with the Beaufort County Sheriff's office says the source of that gas was in the kitchen area. Ruritan members say they intend to build a new facility on the same property. Investigators say no one was inside the building at the time of the explosion.
