In Wayne County lightening struck a transformer that knocked out power across the entire northern end of Goldsboro. According to Emergency Services the electricity went off around 9 p.m. Friday night, killing power to the hospital and thousands of residents until as early as 5 Saturday morning. Lightening also struck the Old Harvest Church in Goldsboro. Luckily no injuries have been reported in that area due to the storm.
