Junking Junked Cars

Fix it or risk getting it towed away. Those are the two choices residents in one town face if they have a vehicle that no longer runs. For weeks now, Havelock officials have been putting stickers like on junked or abandoned cars to warn owners they're now in violation of the city's ordinance banning derelict vehicles. Havelock Police Chief Mike Campbell says the vehicles aren't just an eyesore, they're a safety hazard.
