"Streamline Sales Tax Initiative"

North Carolina is joining 25 other states in their quest to add a sales tax on every purchase you make over the Internet. It's called the "Streamline Sales Tax Initiative." This would add a seven percent tax on purchases which are currently not taxed. Setting up a uniform tax according to North Carolina Representative Alice Underhill allows the state to collect revenue from online shopping.
