Today Pitt County will begin a series of public forums -- working to stop chronic homelessness. The first forum part of the Blue Ribbon Task Force, will be held today from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the Pitt County Community and Schools Recreation Center. Addiction, mental illness, asthma, diabetes and AIDS are said to plague the homeless and limit their ability to escape their lifestyle. Community members and the public are encourage to attend the forums.
