Towns Ease Outdoor Watering Restrictions

Residents of Cary and Apex will soon be able to resume outdoor watering now that Jordan Lake is above normal.

Starting Tuesday, the towns will revert to their alternate day
watering systems. This will allow customers to use irrigation
systems and sprinklers three days a week, depending on the
property's address.

No lawn irrigation will be allowed on Mondays, but hand watering
is allowed any day of the week.

The rules apply to water customers in Apex, Cary, Morrisville
and Research Triangle Park South, plus Raleigh-Durham International
Airport.

Officials in both towns encouraged people to continue to
conserve water. The lake is the source of drinking water for Cary
and Apex.
