Austin, TX -- If you've recently sent mail to Texas that didn't make it to its destination, there may be a good reason why.
Postal officials in Austin have discovered that an 18-wheeler that crashed and then caught fire on Monday, was packed with mail that had been sent through the U.S. Postal Service.
The mail was headed to San Antonio and south Texas. Most of it was destroyed, but the mail that wasn't is being re-processed through another distribution center.
Mail officials say the parcels that were destroyed cannot be identified.
No one was hurt in the accident.
