Kids Flying High

Video will be available shortly.

Aviation enthusiasts with the Experimental Aircraft Association took to the skies in Martin County Saturday, along with dozens of young fliers, possible pilots of the future.

The event is the first of it's kind at the Martin County Airport where members of the Eastern Carolina EAA registered dozens of kids between 7 to 17 to be a part of their 170,000 member club. New members are given the titles Young Eagle's; their only test to join the nationwide club however is to ride, and in some cases co-pilot a single engine aircraft. Organizers say the free 30-minute ride takes the local aviation industry to a higher level.
