If you live in Pamlico County you could soon do business with the DMV without having to leave the county.
The NC Division of Motor Vehicles says it intends to re-establish a license plate agency in Pamlico County once again. The old agency in Bayboro closed down January 11th due to a retirement.
The DMV is taking applications from those interested in operating the agency. Those applications must be returned to the DMV no later than April 30th.
Currently, there are about 120 license plate agencies across the state.
Ten counties do not have agencies. They are Alleghany, Camden, Currituck, Gates, Greene, Jones, Northampton, Pamlico, Polk and Warren.
