'One Tree Hill' Actress Named Wilmington Azalea Queen 2008

Actress Barbara Alyn Woods is switching from the role of mother to the role of queen for the 2008 Azalea Festival in Wilmington.

The Star-News of Wilmington reported that Woods, who appeared regularly on "One Tree Hill" for four seasons in the role of Deb Scott, will reign as Queen Azalea 2008. The festival runs April 9-13.

Woods' character is the mother of Nathan Scott, played by James Lafferty. She hasn't appeared in any episodes in the show's current and fifth season. The CW drama is filmed in Wilmington and has been renewed for another season.

Joining Woods as celebrity guests will be her co-stars Chad Michael Murray, who plays Lucas Scott; Hilarie Burton, who plays Peyton Sawyer; and Lee Norris, who plays Mouth McFadden.
