As gas continues to set record highs in North Carolina, some beach hotel and lodge owners are wondering if the significant increase from last year's Easter weekend is going to effect their business this spring and summer.
Gas is now 60 cents more a gallon in our state than it was at this time last year. And experts expect the trend to continue in an upward spiral until Memorial Day.
But despite the rise in prices, the owner of Atlantis Lodge says his books are filling up fast for the summer. And some beach goers tell us that ten to fifteen extra dollars in gas isn't going to spoil their vacation. Many visiting Pine Knoll Shores are from the Tarheel State.
