Duplin County sheriff's and the Rose Hill Police Department are investigating what they are calling a murder. Police say they found the victim, who will remain unnamed due to the family being notified, stabbed to death at a residence at 326 West Ridge Street Apartment 10 in Rose Hill. They say that 20 year old Miguel Angel Mendoza was partying at the apartment all night when a fight broke out around 8:30 Sunday morning, and Mendoza stabbed the victim to death. He has since been arrested and charged with an open count of murder.
