New Bern fire officials also battled a house fire Sunday. That fire happened at around 6:30 Sunday morning at a residence on 1106 Broad Street. Fire officials say that a back portion of the house was the most damaged area. One man was taken to the hospital with burns to his face, where treated and released. No word on the cause of the fire either.
