People Hard Hit by Isabel in Hyde County Are Getting Ready for Irene

Video will be available shortly.

Some residents in Hyde County say they've waited years and are just beginning to receive financial assistance to elevate their homes after Hurricane Isabel tore through back in 2003. And with Irene approaching, plenty of families in Hyde County are going over their hurricane plans. It's a community that's had its share of weather woes. The area in and around Swan Quarter has been flooded out more times than most residents can count. 87-year-old Milford Mann says during Hurricane Isabel, several feet of water totaled her home and all of her things inside. Still it's not enough to make Mann pack it up for good; only when storms head this way.
