Glenoit Universal Closing Its Doors

Video will be available shortly.

Another textile company is closing it's doors, this time in Tarboro. Glenoit Universal, which is a textile company, has announced they will close down by December 30. 218 workers will be laid off. The company says the layoffs will begin as early as October 7. Officials with Carolina Gateway Partnership, which handles economic development for Edgecombe County, says they already have other companies showing interest in the Glenoit property. And they are confident the job's lost will be replaced.
