Authorities Alvin Reddick is back in custody. Around 11 am on Sunday, Reddick was spotted by an off-duty New Bern Police officer walking down Crawford street. Reddick attempted to flee but was captured a short time after.
Reddick was charged with the original charge of Breaking and Entering and Possession of stolen property. Additional charges stemming from his escape include two counts of Resist Obstruct Delay and assault on a police officer.
Reddick is in Craven County Jail under 5-thousand dollars secure bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 17th.
New Bern Police say they are looking for a teenager who was in custody for a breaking and entering charge, but ended up running from police.
17-year-old Alvin Laquandre Reddick was in custody Thursday. Police
suspect he broke into the residence at 1621 Jamestown Court in New Bern on Wednesday.
As officers started to process Reddick, he began to struggle with an officer, knocked her to the ground, and took off running.
Reddick is now facing assault charges, but police have to find him first.
