Be Active North Carolina will host an event on March 18 to introduce a dynamic new program designed to teach North Carolina's school children how to have fun and stay healthy all at the same time.

This exciting and innovative program is called Be Active HOPSports, an initiative driven by Be Active North Carolina Inc. and HOPSports Training Systems. It's a blend of media, cutting-edge technology and good old-fashioned physical activity. It's an instructional tool supporters believe should be in all North Carolina schools.

At the event, Be Active also will unveil the results of an independent research study to substantiate that very assertion. This impartial study, conducted by three state universities, makes clear the growing problem of childhood obesity and identifies Be Active HOPSports as an effective tool to fight it.
