Getting Kindergarteners Ready

School may not be on the minds of parents or students right now, but getting ready for school should be. That's because North Carolina law requires all students entering kindergarten to have up-to-date immunizations and a physical exam before beginning classes. This applies for all children who will turn five by October 16th of this year and are starting kindergarten. No immunizations and no physical exam means no school. Besides doctor's offices, local health departments can provide these services.
