Guilty on Animal Abuse

A Nash County woman charged with over 30 counts of animal cruelty was in court Thursday.

Lynn Cooley was found guilty on all animal cruelty charges for not feeding over 30 horses in her care. As part of the sentence Cooley cannot own any horses for the next year, unless she notifies authorities first.

The horses are now in the possession in of the United States Equine Rescue League.
