They didn't participate in any of the fishing during the 47th annual Big Rock Blue Marlin tournament along the Crystal Coast earlier this month,
but several Carteret County charities came out as winners Tuesday.
The tournament board of directors donated a whopping $110,000 to several deserving organizations. The money was given out during a luncheon at the Sanitary Restaurant in Morehead City Tuesday.
The tournament has donated more than $1.4 milion to the community throughout the decades.
