A weekend shooting and murder in Carteret County has taken a strange twist. Lloyd Hyman Junior, 18 years old, was wanted for the shooting of two brothers, "Ike" and Christopher Simmons, early Saturday morning. Ike Simmons died Sunday. Monday morning, deputies found Hyman stranded in a marsh and suffering from severe hypothermia. He was flown to Pitt County Memorial Hospital where he later died. An autopsy is pending.
