Curbing Medicaid Viagra Prescriptions for Sex Offenders

All Medicaid prescriptions for erectile-dysfunction drugs such as Viagra have been halted in North Carolina. The state is trying to figure out how to prevent sex offenders from getting the drug through the government health insurance program. State health officials made the move after discovering fifteen convicted sex offenders were getting the drug through Medicaid out of 3,100 Medicaid patients receiving erectile-dysfunction drugs in April.
