Call it a way to say thank you to the community, or a way to inspire children's dreams, either way you look at it, It was a great day at the park.
Professional basketball player and Washington native Damien Wilkins came back home this weekend to kick off his first of many events called Fun Day at the Park. The event had tons of food, educational exhibits, and had prizes for some of the boys and girls in attendance. Wilkins wants kids to know that they can achieve their goals like he did, and he also wants to say a big thank you to his home.
The Kids Fun Day at the Park wrapped up at six o'clock, but don't worry Wilkins says he's coming back next year.
