No Charges for Street Fighters

A fight broke out at corner of Carolina Avenue and Highway 17 around 11:30 Saturday morning where this duo came to blows in front of the S&K Convenience Mart. A nearby business owner alerted Washington Police of the altercation. Lawmen arrived to the scene, minutes later where they were unable to locate the suspects. Lawmen now say they have since talked to both suspects, and they have both declined to press any charges against each other.

Now you may be asking why police don't press charges against the two people? Police tell us that in this case it was misdemeanor assault because there were only minor injuries involved. If there were serious injuries, the case would have been a felony assault, in which case, it would be out of the victim's hands because police are required to press charges in those cases.
