A major Eastern Carolina gas station is getting a major new partner. Trade Mart Oil Company is merging with Wilco-Hess Oil Company based out of Winston-Salem. The two companies would have a combined North Carolina presence of nearly 300 gas stations. However, there are concerns here, about what changes folks could see at the pumps. But most people we talked to thought the merger was a good thing. Trade Mart officials say they will change their name to Trade Mart Wilco, and their canopy will no longer be red, white and blue, but will be the Hess color of green. The merger is set to finish sometime in mid-June.
