Think you pay a lot at the pump? Try filling up a forty gallon gas tank five times a week. Those are the kinds of numbers Sammy Hodges owner of Coastal Limousine in Beaufort County is facing. Hodges maintains a fleet of several cars for his business, including a 220 inch Ford Excursion stretch limo. The fourteen passenger vehicle gets about 10 miles a gallon and Hodges with trips all the way up to the state line, his gas bill for all his vehicles has been topping out near $800 a month. Hodges says he may soon add a travel surcharge to cover fuel costs.
