Mother Nature ruined Friday's air show, but Saturday she made it perfect.
Day two of the 2005 Cherry Point Air Show at the Marine Corps Airstation in Havelock was a smashing success. Thousands were on hand to watch the Blue Angels, rocket truck, a marine combat exhibition and more. Officials say the festivities start up Sunday at the same time with gates opening at 8 a.m. Parking and admission is all free, a great way to spend Mother's Day.
