Miracle Child Tells Her Story

They're calling her a miracle. The seven year old girl who was trapped under her family's SUV in a devastating accident earlier this week, suffered only minor scrapes. Now she's telling her story.

The accident happened just off Cherry Run Road in Beaufort County Wednesday morning. The Highway Patrol says a mother was traveling in her SUV with two of her children when she fell asleep at the wheel after driving all night from West Virginia. Lawmen say the car flipped into a ditch pinning 7 year old Hannah Surguy underneath.

Her mother said Hannah was seatbelted in, but will ride in a car seat from now on, under North Carolina guidelines. Hannah's little brother, Nate was also in the vehicle when it crashed, in a safety seat, and was not hurt.
