Malnourished Horses Seized

Video will be available shortly.

Six horses, including five big Clydesdales have been moved from a Pitt County farm, to Franklin County, as an investigation into animal neglect continues. The horses were seized from a pasture in Bethel Wednesday, severely malnourished and neglected. Animal cruelty investigators got the ok from a magistrate to corral them. And the Pitt County Humane Society is getting help from volunteers with the U.S. Equine Rescue League to try to nurse those hurt horses back to health. The horse's owner, Thomas Zelaney of Tarboro is now facing six misdemeanor charges of animal abuse in that ongoing case.
