Talking to children about accidents can be hard. But sometimes it's necessary to have that conversation, whether they see a crash scene as you drive by or on the news, and start asking questions. Experts say often, these scenes and images can create powerful fears, but you can help by reassuring them that they are ok and that you're going to take care of them. Experts also say let your child communicate and express their feelings with you openly. If a child doesn't want to talk, let them write down feelings in a letter or a journal, or even poetry.
