Five more people have been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting this week that killed 10-year old Christopher Foggs of Pitt County. Two women and three teen-age girls who were in a car with the 19-year-old man who allegedly shot the boy are charged. Police have said the shooting may have stemmed from a long-running dispute among two groups of females, possibly over boys or which girls were prettier. Foggs was playing outside a house Tuesday night when he was shot to death.
The five females were arrested Friday and charged with first-degree murder, even though the young man is accused of firing the gun.
