It's been a time of heartache this week in Eastern Carolina. In Pitt County, a young boy was shot and killed. In Beaufort County, two teenagers were victims of a car crash and two children victims of a fire. Several memorials were held Friday. In the afternoon, a service was scheduled at Washington High School for two students killed in a car accident Wednesday. The school asked us not to attend the memorial, so students could share their grief in privacy. 16-year-old Eli Saleeby Lee and 15-year-old Noah Pike died In the crash on Keysville Road in Beaufort County. A church memorial for Pike was also held Friday. Lee's funeral is Saturday.
