At McConnell Sports Complex in the Beaufort County city of Washington, employees sponsored a baseball game and Relay for Life fundraiser. The innings pitted Washington city employees like the electric department against the city's public works employees, and police versus fire/rescue and E.M.S. The fundraiser benefits the annual Relay For Life walk in Washington.
The annual Beaufort County Relay For Life walk kicks off the last weekend in April.
