Sun Gazers at Goose Creek

Star gazers gathered at Goose Creek State Park Saturday to see if they could get a clear look at the mother of them all.

Overcast sky's proved to be a worthy opponent for the Sun, but that didn't stop dozens from flocking to the Beaufort County park's astronomy day event where kids big and small got a chance to learn about celestial events and their meanings. Members of the Carolina Skies Astronomy Club shared their wealth of knowledge on solar gazing, and taught some things about the outdoors.
